Fuzzy bits

Talked with my reader this afternoon. He's been busy so is a little behind with the project. Not to worry, I'm a little behind with my plan too! Anyway, I knew there was something wrong with Chapter 14, but I couldn't put my finger on what it was. He did. Went straight to the fuzzy bit, and gave me a superb idea on how to fix it. So that's what I'm up to right now.

I still have to get my agent query whipped into shape... or if I'm truthful, I have to start to outline the darned thing. This is the hardest thing I've ever done! I can't seem to get my head around it. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to slog away until I master it. I don't think that the publishing world is going to beat a path to my door otherwise!

I've heard LOTS of writers say the query is harder to write than the story was. :-) I actually took a whack at writing a query.

Root canal wasn't as painful or agonizing.

Anyhoo...if you're member over at the AW Water Cooler, you might want to go to the Share Your Work section, and then the Query subsection (you'll have to scroll down a bit). There's a nice "sticky" at the top of that forum, with some good ideas and links to check out.

Good luck! :-)

Thanks Nancy. I do inhabit AW Water Cooler at times, but I tend to get lost in there so I'm trying to limit my exposure. I'll certainly check out the sticky.

Query letters are horrible. I've had one written, and revised and revised and revised, for so long it's pathetic. I lay awake at night agonizing over it. I wish the best of luck with yours!
